The Paramout film Office Christmas Party made a box office record with the biggest opening weekend for a Christmas-themed movie released in December. As the raunchy comedy continues to grow in box office numbers, costars Kate McKinnon and Vanessa Bayer—who are also a part of the Saturday Night Live cast—speak to Chica about their strong friendship and the wild experiences they’ve had at corporate holiday parties (hint: drugs are involved).
“We have really clocked some hours and traveled together,” said McKinnon. “It only deepens our years-long friendship.”
In Office Christmas Party, McKinnon stars as the nervous, rules-obsessed HR manager, Mary, who finally lets loose while Bayer plays the amiable yet foul-mouthed assistant, Allison. The two were a part of the star-studded cast in a film about a branch manager throwing a wild holiday party to save his office from being shut down by his uptight CEO sister.
